In America, 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before the age 18. What can parents, grandparents, and teachers do to protect kids from harm?
The Brave Knight, a children’s book by Diane Tarantini, tells a fantasy story that teaches kids, in a non-threatening way, to be on their guard against unsafe individuals. |
Saturday, June 24 | 1 to 4 PM
We invite families to join us for a fun and educational day that will include a special reading of The Brave Knight, by Daine. After a short talkback, there will be activities and snacks for the kids. At this time, we invite parents to a break-out session with body safety educators for information on what to watch for, tips to help protect children and information on cell phone safety, drug awareness and more. Partnering with Shield Task Force and Libera, Inc., our goal for the day is to provide a fun, non-threatening day to help educate both children and parents and to arm them with resources to help fight the battle against abuse, drug use and bullying of our children. |
